Materials:
Butcher paper
Markers
pencils
crayons
scraps of paper/magazine clippings
Lay a piece of butcher paper on the floor that is a few inches longer than each child. Have the child lay down on the paper and strike a pose. Trace the perimeter of the child’s body using a marker. Have the child draw and color/collage in their features and/or clothing. Ask them to point to specific parts of their body. Have word cards available for them to match parts to their outlines.
